about location

Platy Gialos is an
idyllic place, surrounded by the most beautifull beach of
the island, the only white pebbly one in Kalymnos. From
there you can enjoy incredibly colorful sunsets on the little
island of Agia Kyriaki. Kalymnos is now known as one of
the biggest and best climbing destinations all over the
world. After the succesful International Climbing Meeting
in October 2000, climbers from everywhere arrive in Kalymnos
for an unforgetable climbing experiance. Ideal months for
this sport are from November to April. There many different
ways to access Kalymnos. From the airport of Kos you can
go to Mastichari bay by taxi or bus in 10 minutes. From
Mastichari ferryboats departures 3-4 times a day to Kalymnos.
The trip lasts approximately 40 minutes. Fully access is
provided by the main harbour of Piraeus and by the harbours
of Kos and Rhodes. You can visit also all the islands of
Dodecanese using flying dolphins or catamaran during the
day. |
